Senior Season is here and going GREAT!

Well senior season has officially started! I am so excited to be photographing so many new faces this year. One that I am excited to present is Alyssa from Cabrillo Highschool. Finally I get to work with someone from Cabrillo, yay! Of course, Alyssa went with the Ultimate Senior Portrait [E]xperience and we had some fun. It was hot this past Saturday but we all endured the nice warm weather that we are not used to for a nice June day, needless to say we had some pretty fun images. All of them were taken here in Lompoc. Many people are surprised to know we photograph most of our seniors in Lompoc, but Lompoc has some pretty unique looks, you just have to look for them, sometimes they are hidden, sometimes they are very obvious but for the most part they are easy to find. OPEN HOUSE

I am excited, nervous, anxious and just feel about every feeling of excitement for this year's class of 2010. You see my journey has been of jumping from one subject to another from weddings, children and seniors until this year I realized one thing. . . . I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE working with teenagers, they rock! This is why I starting marketing back in April a little early in the year I know but it is paying off! It's so funny when the phone rings I am excited to hear from parents future seniors themselves start off with "I heard about you from. . . ." that just melts my heart, and assures me that I am doing something right or at least am heading in the right direction. This year is going to be grand for me because I decided that this year I am going to succeed in making my dreams come true. I am doing what I love and because I am doing what I love I will be successful. Everyday seems like I am playing with my camera, meeting new people, sharing laughs and being silly and most of all creating, there is never an end to what can be created or shared. With this in mind I just recalled the purpose of my post, what was it?.... oh yeah, just remembered, I am going to have my very first OPEN HOUSE in my studio on MAY29th from 5:00-9:00pm and all class of 2010 are welcome to come. There will be door prizes, fashion shows, FOOD, and more FOOD. I want to meet you personally please come by and say "HELLO". I will try to post the flyer later as I am still working in finishing the details.

It is not very often you come across a salon full of gifted and talented sytlist. This week I had the priviledge of photographing one of the Central Coast best vintage retro hair salons. Hepkat is a fun and stylish salon just for those who love the art of design and are open to creativity and amazing talent such as the one found at Hepkat. Brittney is a very bright and dedicated owner who knows how to appeal the young at heart. I have nothing but good things to say about Hepkat and please visit them because you will be blown away by the all the talent that is under one roof.
